The purpose of action research study is to investigate the quality of teaching in technology and its impact on student performance. The evidence will show that technology either has a positive influence on the performance of students or impedes student performance. The school board invested large sums of money in hardware and software and employed experts to train staff, therefore the need and rationale for evaluation is valid. The assessment is directed in this action research on teachers and student performance. If teachers are using technology, the evidence needs to be assessed, in order to highlight the benefits and limitations for teachers who do not use technology in their pedagogy. If the evidence is encouraging, this research should be taken as a benchmark for further investigations.
