Professor Abdullah Ambusaidi, is a Professor of Curriculum and Teaching Methods of Science and currently undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. He holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2000 in the field of Science Teaching. He supervised more than 80 master’s and doctorate degrees in the field of science teaching and discussed more than 60 master’s and doctoral dissertations. He has more than 125 papers published in Arab and international journals in the field of science teaching. He has seven books in teaching science in particular and teaching in general. He also participated in writing chapters on teaching science, environmental and health education in both Arabic and English. He has co-authored of two books on teaching science translated from English to Arabic. He works as a consultant and trainer for many educational projects including TAMAM Project (school-based reform) and Green Schools Initiative. He presented several papers and attended more than 40 conferences and seminars locally, internationally and internationally in the field of science education and sustainable development. Prof. Ambusaidi is a member of the editorial board of several educational journals at the local, Arab and international levels.
