This session invited educators in leadership positions from various Arab countries in which they talked about their experiences in leading the process of learning while going back to school post the pandemic for the academic year 2021-2022 and the priorities and the challenges they had to deal with in this new normal.  The speakers described these challenges and the rationale behind them, in addition to the strategies they followed to deal with these challenges and consider them as opportunities for improvement and innovation.

The common challenges mentioned by the speakers were the notions of learning and behavioral loss of students after coming back to school, and the importance of safeguarding their “good” education. In addition to the health challenge as well as building on the collaboration and partnership that happened with the parents during this period, and the priority of preserving the human capital in schools viz motivating and valuing teachers.

What’s unique and common between the speakers is there persistence in achieving their school vision putting students at first despite all challenges and crises.  What is also unique is the scientific approach followed in dealing with challenges which entails inquiry cycles and collection of data from different stakeholders to build on the success stories and lessons learned during the past two years and come up with innovative solutions and ideas that help in shaping the alternative vision of the reimagined TAMAM school in the Arab region.
