On Monday, June 24, 2024, the TAMAM Steering Team held a meeting for the first cohort of graduates from the “Preparing Trainers on School-Based Leadership Capacity Building Program,” titled “Communication and Celebration Session to Follow Up on Learning Journey.”

The meeting aimed to reunite trainers and share their learning investments from the program, as well as their training experiences.

The session included inputs from participants of the first cohort regarding the program’s impact on their educational journeys. It also featured three presentations on training experiences in three different contexts, maintained through ongoing communication, training, and intensive support from the TAMAM Guiding Team based on collaboration agreements between the educational institutions where these trainers work and TAMAM. These presentations were:

  • The experience of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab School trainer in Lebanon, presented by Mr. Ahmad Ghlayini.
  • The experience of bilingual Al-Bayan School trainers in Kuwait, presented by Ms. Tahani Hashem and Ms. Huda Al-Barghouti.
  • The experience of trainers from Al-Ola in Saudi Arabia, presented by Mr. Emad Shakir, Ms. Ghada Al Alsheikh, and Dr. Mohammed Al Boushi.

During their presentations, the trainers shared their training experiences and their roles as trainers who embarked on a training journey with TAMAM, starting from identifying training needs, setting goals and objectives, to developing their training plans. They also discussed the training activities they implemented and the progress made so far in achieving their training goals with school teams. They highlighted the learning gained through the TAMAM Trainer Preparation Program and how they applied it during their training, praising the support received from the Guiding Team during their training work.

The trainers concluded with their steps and future aspirations to continue their training journey and promote the school-based development culture in their respective institutions and contexts. The Guiding Team appreciates the efforts and achievements of the trainers in training for school-based development leadership and encourages other participants to strengthen their training role in TAMAM.
