Hosted by the Faculty of Humanities, the forum took place at the university campus in Beirut. The forum addressed three main themes: (1) Professional partnerships based on common needs, (2) Initiatives for the development and support of Arabic language teachers, and (3) Development initiatives in Arabic language education.

Dr. Rima Karami, TAMAM Project Director, and educators from TAMAM-participating schools in Lebanon and Jordan participated in this forum. Under the first theme, Dr. Rima Karami presented TAMAM’s approach to networking, accompanied by Ms. Alaa Jarrar from Al-Asriyya Schools in Jordan, who detailed the networking experience of the TAMAM Schools Association in Jordan aimed at developing Arabic language education. Under the second theme, Ms. Rola Hajjazi, Arabic Language Coordinator at the International School of Lebanon, presented the school’s experience in preparing Arabic language teachers. Additionally, Mr. Fayez Jalloul, Training Manager from Al Mabarrat Schools, discussed “Care and Empowerment for Arabic Language Teachers in Al Mabarrat Schools,” while Dr. Zeina Zein from Hariri Secondary School presented “Authentic Leadership in Preparing an Authentic Teacher.”

It’s worth noting that this forum marks the launch of the “Ain” program, an initiative conceptualized by Dr. Khalil Ajineh, Director of the International School of Lebanon and a university professor in Arabic language and literature. This initiative, launched by Beirut Arab University in collaboration with the International School of Lebanon, aims to develop a unified vision for enhancing Arabic language education based on the needs of participating schools and the realities of learners and the job market.

This initiative aligns with the professional network vision of TAMAM, whose active members strive to promote school-based development tailored to local needs. We wish Dr. Khalil success in leading the “Ain” program, hoping that this initiative enriches the TAMAM network, expands its impact, and opens new avenues for partnerships with higher education institutions across the Arab world.
