The Ghobeiry Second Mixed Public School in Lebanon, which is one of the partner schools in TAMAM, organized a Book Fair for the academic year 2023 where students from the eighth and ninth grades at the school participated in its execution. In preparation for the book fair, the students researched books on topics of interest to them, prepared summaries, models, and presentations about the chosen subjects, and they shared it with each other on the day of the book fair.

The school’s principal, Mrs. Fatima Salemeh, commented that this fair was a turning point in the school’s life during this period, as it was the first of its kind at the school after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She added that the fair showcased the profile of the students that the school aspire to graduate, which is built based on the TAMAM student profile. The school aims to prepare students who are inquisitive, take initiative, and believe in their own abilities.

At the end, Mrs. Salemeh expressed her gratitude to the TAMAM project, built the leadership capacity of a team of teachers and directed them to work on sustaining improvement in the school. It is worth mentioning that the The Ghobeiry Second Mixed Public-School team participated in training on three of TAMAM’s programs: The Leadership Capacity Building Program, The School-Parent partnership program, and The Student Leadership Program.
