Partnership between  TAMAM project and Al-Maymouna Schools for Education: completing work within the partnership plan for the fourth year- 13/01/2023

TAMAM Steering Team held a training workshop for the leadership teams in Al-Maymouna Schools as part of its partnership for the fourth year with Al-Maymouna Education, in the presence of its General Director Mr. Ayman Hamidi Sakr.  The workshop aimed at training lead team members on new stages of partnership with parents and on student support. At the level of partnership with parents, Ms. Fayrouz Salameh, the School and community partnership expert, reminded participants of families’ profile in Al-Maymouna schools based on the socio-cultural questionnaire that was used as a tool for collecting information, understanding the needs of families, classifying them according to their level of involvement with the school. Then she moved to introduce participants on reporting and planning stages in preparation for accompanying the family in the educational process.

On the other hand, TAMAM expert for teaching and learning, Ms.  Nidal Jouni introduced support procedures for students in the fourth and fifth grades which is essential to raise their academic achievement before the mid-year exams. The proposed support plan was developed  from the perspective of a socio-cultural approach and defined roles of both parents and  school with regard to academic support and how to integrate these two roles.  This training will be followed by empowerment activities for teams through field visits, peer coaching and frequent feedback to enable the members to practice their role as leaders of institutional improvement.  The TAMAM project is proud of this partnership with Al-Maymouna Schools because it sees it as a real opportunity to reach out to marginalized groups and contribute to building a generation capable of facing the current challenges.
