At the end of the third year of the partnership between TAMAM and Al Maymouna  for Education, which revolved around two goals, firstly, to evaluate learning and teaching in Al Maymouna schools with the aim of establishing an educational system later that would be of high quality and reliable in terms of the outputs it achieves, and secondly, to plan for partnership with parents by getting to know families, the steering team  at TAMAM conducted a workshop for the lead teams in the two schools, in the presence of the General Director of Al Maymouna for Education, Mr. Ayman Hamidi Sakr, to present a summary of the work of the third year and the proposed fourth year plan to complete the school-based improvement project and institutionalize work in Al Maymouna schools.  The TAMAM project had evaluated the learning and teaching processes in Al Maymouna by defining standards and indicators of school performance that formed a framework for the evaluator to allow him to issue an objective evaluation based on evidence extracted from classroom observations, questionnaires, focus groups, interviews, practical practices and data analysis .  These standards and indicators helped provide a common language for dialogue and  communication at the school about the main educational goals and the main determinants of the quality of the educational process, and they also supported consistency in performance assessment among schools affiliated with Al Maimouna for Education and provided data to help schools identify their performance and plan for improvement.  All of this will provide the basis for institutionalizing assessment as a platform for improvement and professional development for teachers within a plan to implement instructional supervision in Al Maymouna for Education.  As for the partnership with the parents, the school teams got to know the parents using the socio-cultural form considered the appropriate tool to collect data, which helped to classify the families according to their level of involvement with the school as a starting point for planning an open day on the first level and  for authentic partnership between the school and the parents based on the identified needs on the second level.  Throughout all this journey, TAMAM coaches made sure to empower the lead team members through peer-coaching, training and periodic feedback and two coordinators were assigned to continue on establishing partnership with families. TAMAM project is proud of this collaboration with Al Maymouna Schools because it sees in it a real opportunity to reach marginalized groups and contribute to building a fully competent and healthy generation capable of facing the challenges of the century.
